Kenneth D. Almgren

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is pleased to announce the hiring of Kenneth D. Almgren as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Almgren has more than 25 years of experience in major national and international trade associations and venture capital financed projects.
Prior to joining NAEYC, Mr. Almgren served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary for The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Washington, D.C., for 16 years. While at NAB, Mr. Almgren had direct responsibility in the following departments and activities: finance, accounting, human resources, corporate administration, Board of Directors relationship, and full corporate secretary functions and duties.
He also served as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for The Arinc Cos., an airline-owned organization that provides non air-traffic control communications services to the air transport industry.

As part of the NAEYC team, Mr. Almgren will have management responsibility and authority for day-to-day operations of the 125 employee association, including management and oversight for the: finance department, building operations unit, information technology center, member services unit, marketing and sales department, human resources department and our central administration functions.
