Stephanie A. Morris serves as NAEYC’s Deputy Executive Director for Member Engagement, Professional Learning and Brand Advancement. In this role, Morris is building a long-term comprehensive strategy to fully engage members, expand professional development opportunities for NAEYC teachers and staff and advance the NAEYC brand nationally and internationally.
Morris previously served as Assistant Vice President for Membership and Marketing at the American Council on Education. At ACE, she built an integrated marketing program that incorporated the Council’s many different program areas and departments, with an eye towards raising visibility for the association as a whole and for the Council’s priority initiatives.
Morris, who holds an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, has also worked as Assistant Vice President for marketing and business development at Widmeyer Communications, a mid-sized independent public affairs firm headquartered in Washington, DC.
Additionally, Morris has served as the Director of Communications for the National Women’s Business Council, an independent advisory group comprised of C-suite women executives that reports to the White House, Congress and others on women’s entrepreneurship. Further, she was the Director of Communications and Marketing for the Center for Women’s Business Research, a nonprofit organization that conducts original research and analysis on women business owners worldwide.
