Governing Board Priorities
2006 – 2007
Accreditation: NAEYC will promote the new NAEYC Accreditation System, and other associated NAEYC resources, while also encouraging all early childhood programs to move forward along a continuum of quality to provide higher quality services to young children and their families.
Membership: NAEYC will seek to expand and strengthen both the association’s array of membership services and its membership base in order more effectively to lead, serve and give voice to the early childhood field.
NAEYC as a High Performing and Inclusive Organization: NAEYC, as a high performing, inclusive organization, will develop diverse leadership to meet the needs of the early childhood field.
Policy Advocacy: NAEYC will enhance its effectiveness at advocating for public policies at local, state and federal levels consistent with the NAEYC Public Policy Program.
Standards: NAEYC will encourage children’s development and positive learning outcomes by using, in connected and effective ways, the association’s standards for early childhood programs, practices, and professional preparation and the association’s public policy program.
