Overview || Intent to Renew || Renewal Materials || Site Visit for Renewal
NAEYC understands that your program values its NAEYC Accreditation and wants to maintain it over time. Your program can move seamlessly from one term of NAEYC Accreditation to the next if it meets renewal deadlines established by the NAEYC Academy.
The Intent to Renew form is used to inform NAEYC of a program’s commitment to pursue a new term of NAEYC Accreditation. The Intent to Renew form and applicable fee can be submitted along with, but not before, the submission of the streamlined 4th Anniversary Annual Report. Refer to the Timeline for Currently Accredited Programs for your program’s Intent to Renew due date, which is the last date to submit Intent to Renew for programs that wish to avoid a lapse in NAEYC Accreditation.
Renewal Materials and the applicable fee must be submitted by the Renewal Materials due date listed in the Timeline for Currently Accredited Programs.
Receive Site Visit for Renewal
Once a program’s Renewal Materials are approved, the program will receive a site visit within 6 months of the Renewal Materials due date. If the due dates in the Timeline for Currently Accredited Programs are met, a program will receive its accreditation decision before the end of its current term of NAEYC Accreditation. If the program receives an accreditation decision of “Accredited”, it will seamlessly transition into a new five-year term of NAEYC Accreditation after the end of its current term of NAEYC Accreditation.
