Q: If a program compiled its evidence according to the 2006 Sources of Evidence (SOE), appeals its accreditation decision, and is granted a new site visit that occurs after November 30, 2009, will it be assessed on the 2006 or 2008 SOE?
If a program has a site visit after November 30, 2009, it will be assessed on the 2008 Sources of Evidence (SOE). Programs are encouraged to utilize the 2008 Updates to the Sources of Evidence Spreadsheet in the TORCH Resource Library when converting from the 2006 SOE to the 2008 SOE. In the vast majority of instances, when a program is converting to the 2008 Sources of Evidence, new evidence does not need to be compiled. Rather, programs must reorganize current evidence to ensure that it supports criteria according to the current 2008 SOE. Programs should refer to the full language and guidance for each criterion for more specific information pertaining to the type of evidence Assessors expect to see during the site visit.
