Accreditation Facilitation Projects

Print Bookmark and Share

In many communities and states, local accreditation facilitation projects (AFPs) support the quality improvement efforts of child care centers, preschools and other early childhood programs. Accreditation facilitation projects provide technical assistance and support to programs that are working on NAEYC Accreditation in an effort to raise the quality of their early childhood programs. Some facilitation projects also provide financial incentives or assistance for programs to earn accreditation.

Accreditation facilitation projects make every attempt to understand and communicate the process of NAEYC Accreditation accurately.  However, they are not intended to replace a program's direct contact with the NAEYC Academy for specific questions that pertain to its program.  Program administrators are encouraged to contact Accreditation Program Support with program-specific issues of any type.
