Yes! Blocks will be around in 100 years...there are just so many wonderful ways they support young children's play and learning to not be here forever! Through Purdue Extension, we are hosting block parties throughout the state of Indiana as a way to help families understand the importance of play and also as a way to support children's school readiness. Here are a couple videos about our block party initiative (1st one features Dr. Jim Elicker from Purdue University's Human Development and Family Studies Department; 2nd one is from a local Extension County block party event in Clinton County, Indiana).
