NAEYC Conference

NAEYC conferences bring together early childhood educators representing many roles -- teaching staff, program administrators, students, researchers and teacher educators --  to discuss the latest ideas and learn from one another. The NAEYC Annual Conference & Expo is the largest early childhood education conference in the world, where tens of thousands of educators choose from hundreds of presentations and exhibits.  The 2008 NAEYC Annual Conference will be in Dallas on November 5-8.

NAEYC also hosts the National Institute for Early Childhood Professional Development, a smaller gathering designed for professionals who prepare, mentor and train early childhood professionals. Participants explore the expanding early childhood knowledge base, develop skills that improve professional preparation and practice, and discuss effective, active learning approaches for adults. The 2008 Institute will be in New Orleans on June 8-11.

Many NAEYC affiliate groups host local, state or regional conferences to promote high-quality education for young children. A list of these NAEYC affiliate-sponsored conferences is available on this site that may be helpful for NAEYC members and others who work in early childhood education.
