Preventing Violence
ACT—Adults and Children Together-Against Violence is a violence prevention project that focuses on adults who raise, care for, and teach young children ages 0 to 8 years. It is designed to prevent violence by helping these aults to be positive role models and learn the skills to teach young children nonviolent ways to resolve conflicts, deal with frustration, and handle anger. ACT is a partnership of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the American Psychological Association, and the Ad Council.
