Purpose
The intent of the NAEYC Legacy Leader Fellowship (LLF) is to nurture leadership among a broad array of individuals working in the early childhood education field. NAEYC is committed to being a high performing and inclusive organization in all of its endeavors. Thus, LLF participants will be drawn from a pool of individuals having diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. NAEYC will work collaboratively with a corps of early childhood focused leadership development providers that share NAEYC’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of early childhood education leaders. The LLF will enrich the activities offered by NAEYC-Recognized Leadership Development Programs with the addition of specific NAEYC opportunities. NAEYC envisions that these linked efforts will offer the Legacy Leader Fellows the knowledge and skills to have a sustainable impact on future services to young children and their families as well the ongoing development of the profession. NAEYC invites interested early childhood focused leadership development programs to consider partnering with us in this endeavor (Criteria for NAEYC Recognition).
