To register to vote in the State of Kansas an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be a resident of Kansas
- Be at least 18 years old before the next election
- Have received final discharge from imprisonment, parole, or conditional release if convicted of a felony
- Have abandoned your former residence and/or name
Must register to vote at least 15 days before the election.
Can select party affiliation at polls or change party affiliation 15 days before the election.

Can register to vote in person or obtain a mail-in application from:
- County clerk's office
- Driver's license office
- K-TAP, Food Stamp, Medicaid, WIC, and state-funded offices serving those with disabilities, if you are a client of these offices
- Armed forces recruitment offices, if you are a prospective member of the armed forces
Advanced Voting:
Any Kansas voter can opt to vote before Election Day. An advanced voting ballot can be requested through the County Election Officer. An application can also be found online.
Voters can also cast their advanced ballots in person at the office of the County Election Officer.
All advanced voting ballots must be received in the office of the County Election Officer by the close of polls on Election Day.
