To register to vote in the State of Nebraska an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be at least 18 years of age by the time of the election
- Have been a resident of Nevada for at least 30 days preceding any election
- Not have been declared by a court to be mentally incompetent
- Felons who have not been restored to their civil rights
Can change or select party affiliation up to 30 days before the election.
Can register to vote in person or obtain a mail-in application from:
- County clerk/Registrar of Voters’ office
- Department of Motor Vehicle office
- Various social services agencies
- College campuses

Absentee Voting:
You can submit a request for an absentee ballot online. Send this to your County Clerk/Registrar of Voters in the county where you are registered to vote.
An absentee ballot application may be obtained from the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters in the county in which you reside.
The application for absentee ballot must be returned to the County Clerk/Registrar of Voters’ office no later than 5:00 pm seven calendar days preceding the election.
The voted ballot may be hand-delivered or mailed to the county election office, but it must be returned no later than the close of polls on Election Day.
Nevada also offers early voting. Those who wish to vote absentee in person may do so during the two-week period ending four days prior to the election, October 16 through October 29, 2010. You can find your county's early voting locations online.
