To register to vote in the State of Utah an individual must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before the next election
- Be a resident of Utah for at least 30 days immediately before the election
- not a convicted felon currently incarcerated for commission of a felony (unless sentence is completed or you are on probation or parole)
Voter registration forms must be postmarked at least 20 days before the election. You may register in-person at the County Clerk’s office until the 8th day before an election.

- County Clerk’s Office
- Phone Book
- State agency offices (including the Drivers License Division, Division of Workforce Services, Utah State Department of Health, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Offices, the Division of Services for People with Disabilities, the Department of Rehabilitation)
- Public colleges and universities
From 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Monday, the eighth and eleventh days before a regular primary or general election, voter registration is available at satellite locations throughout the state. Location listings are available through your County Clerk's Office.

Absentee Voting:
An absentee ballot application form can be picked up at your County Clerk’s office or found online.
Mail the completed form to your County Clerk’s office. The application form should be received no later than the Friday before the election. If submitting the form in-person, the office of the clerk or recorder should receive this application no later than a day before the election.
An absentee ballot is only valid if it is postmarked before Election Day and received in the county clerk's office before noon on the day of the official canvass.
