Young Children and TYC readers needed!
Are you a Young Children or Teaching Young Children (TYC) reader? Will you be attending NAEYC’s Annual Conference & Expo in Orlando this November? If so, then we need you! The editors of Young Children and TYC will be holding a Reader Feedback Session at the conference on Thursday, November 3rd, from 10:00–11:30 a.m. This is your chance to provide feedback and share ideas on the future direction of Young Children and TYC!
Attendees will receive a small gift as a token of appreciation. However, participation is limited. If you’d like to join, please email tyc@naeyc.org and provide the following information:
- full name
- job title
- e-mail address
- phone number
- which NAEYC periodicals you read (Young Children, NEXT for Young Children, TYC, NEXT for TYC)
The editorial team will notify you of your participation status in the next two weeks so you can plan accordingly.
Help NAEYC Improve Our Digital Products!
NAEYC recognizes that early childhood professionals are relying increasingly on the Internet and other digital forms of communication. To help us to continue to support you and your work as effectively as possible, the NAEYC Digital Content Department will host a one-hour, limited-seating focus group during the Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, to gather feedback on the NAEYC website and several other current and potential future digital products.
The focus group session will be held Friday, November 4, from 3:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center.
To reserve your seat in this focus group session, please contact Jack Nank, NAEYC Web Content Editor, at jnank@naeyc.org. In your message, please include some brief details on the nature of your work in the early childhood profession and your experience with the NAEYC website.
Focus Groups for Professional Learning
The NAEYC Department of Professional Learning is seeking the assistance of the early childhood community, including teachers, directors, trainers, and others, for development of professional learning resources at NAEYC. Please join us at our planned focus groups and assist us to determine what learning resources NAEYC should develop: in what formats, addressing what content, and for which audience. Your ideas and suggestions will help NAEYC to develop resources that will support you in your work!
We have planned two focus groups:
- Thursday, November 3, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., at Room W311, Orange County Convention Center. The Thursday focus will be on ideas from directors, trainers, and staff from higher education.
- Friday, November 4, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., at Rocks Spring Rooms 1 and 2, Peabody Hotel. The Friday meeting will focus on ideas from teachers and practitioners from the field.
Please contact adurborow@naeyc.org or mparikh@naeyc.org for more assistance.
