Subject: Math, Science & Tech |
Children can use manipulatives to sort, categorize, count, measure, match, and make patterns. This poster (12"x36", laminated) lists eight everyday low-cost or free items, like keys, buttons, and coffee stirrers, that can be used as math manipulatives. The poster is illustrated by Patrick Cavanagh and is based on the article "8X. Everyday Math Manipulatives," published in the April/May 2010 issue of Teaching Young Children (Vol. 3, No. 4).
