From the cover photo of a teacher at work to the engaging features and articles about good practice, Teaching Young Children is a magazine that celebrates and supports preschool teachers. Each issue highlights current thinking on best practices in early childhood education, innovations in the field, research and its implications, and interesting ideas for and from preschool teachers.

Premiering in November 2007, TYC’s early editions benefited from heavy print and Web marketing campaigns. In the fall of 2008 the magazine rolled out as an NAEYC member benefit option. Members have responded enthusiastically to TYC - nearly 40% of new and renewing members have chosen to receive the magazine or added on a TYC subscription to their membership. The current distribution has grown rapidly and is expected to increase further as more preschool educators discover this exciting publication.

Here’s what readers are saying about TYC…

“I love the information and the pictures. Teaching Young Children is very interesting and educational.”

“It is a magazine chock full of quality with topics that students, parents, teachers, and everyone in the early childhood field can apply daily.”

“Great magazine – my staff was thrilled to get something geared specifically to them. Thanks!”

“Bravo! What our field really needs.”
