How to be a Good Citizen Lyrics

Print Bookmark and Share

Picking the trash up off the street.
Off the street, off the street.
Picking the trash up off the street,
That’s how to be a good citizen.

What can I do? Something that really matters?
How can I help to make the world a little better?

Obeying rules at school each day,
School each day, school each day.
Obeying rules at school each day,
That’s how to be a good citizen.

What can I do? Something that really matters?
How can I help to make the world a little better?

Picking the trash up off the street.
Off the street, off the street.
Picking the trash up off the street,
That’s how to be a good citizen.

Remember: When picking up trash, be sure to wear gloves. Children can help pick up paper or cardboard trash. It is safest to leave glass, cans, and other sharp objects for other green neighbors to pick up.
