What is NEXT for Young Children?

These ready-to-use, comprehensive training outlines build on content from selected Young Children articles. NAEYC publishes NEXT electronically five times a year to accompany issues of Young Children.

What’s included?

Find the following and more in each training:

  • Key messages from articles and definitions of key terms
  • Self-study questions to build on article content and reflect on current teaching practices
  • Prompts to lead small- or large-group discussions focusing on real-life experiences and research-to-practice connections
  • Ideas for how to apply and document new knowledge and skills
  • Resources for more information

Each outline indicates the NAEYC Standards for Early Childhood Professional Preparation Programs and NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards that are most closely related to the content.
