Gege Kreischer: Bio
You are here
Gege Kreischer is an early childhood consultant specializing in program management. She works with centers and directors and enables them to make the most of their money while providing high-quality programs. Her company, Child Care Concepts, builds and manages employer-sponsored childcare programs.
Gege has taught preschool though third grade and directed programs that served children birth through school age. She has directed private and corporate sponsored programs, managed non-profit and for profit programs, and supported programs working towards NAEYC accreditation. She believes that program directors and managers are the best advocates for improving the quality and funding for early childhood programs because they understand the challenges facing both the business and the profession.
Gege has served as an adjunct professor for the University of South Florida and managed a research project, Caring for Children, that studied the impact of poverty in the lives of young children. She has trained curriculum for McGraw-Hill and participated in the Compensated Validator Field Trial for NAEYC.
Gege serves on the Board of Directors of the Glazer Children’s Museum and The Learning Gate Charter School, both in Tampa. She is Past President of both Hillsborough AEYC and Florida AEYC, past chair of the NAEYC Affiliate Council, and has served on several NAEYC committees. Her committee work with Florida’s Office of Early Learning has given her the opportunity to represent NAEYC’s Program Standards. She is currently on the Florida AEYC Board of Directors and Chair of the Tampa Bay Chapter of Florida AEYC.
