Throughout the NAEYC Accreditation of Early Learning Programs process, your program’s staff qualifications will be assessed according to the following measures:
Teacher Staff Qualifications
Assessment Items 6C-1061 and 6C-1065 are not required. However, they contribute to the overall accreditation decision. See the teaching staff qualifications option guide, to determine your staff's eligibility.
Program Administrator Qualifications
Program administrator qualifications (assessment Items: 6C-1304 and 6C-1544) are not required. One person may meet the qualifications for both the Operational Administrator and the Pedagogical Administrator, or two separate individuals may meet as either the Operational Administrator or the Pedagogical Administrator. View the administrative qualifications option guide.
Evidence of meeting this standard is provided through the submission of documentation in candidacy and renewal materials.
You are viewing our streamlined accreditation process, which will be required May 31, 2018. The established process is available! During this transition period, programs may opt in to the streamlined model and be assessed using the streamlined process, if preferred. Beginning on May 31, 2018, the streamlined accreditation model will be required for all programs.
