Young Children is NAEYC’s peer-reviewed professional journal, published five times a year—in March, May, July, September, and November. Issues are organized around topics important to the early childhood education field. Young Children’s practitioner focus makes it unique among journals and its award-winning status testifies to its excellence.

Young Children's Redesign

The March 2013 issue of Young Children launches a fresh design that reflects reader feedback. Look for these enhancements:

• a spine that lists the date and volume number, making it easy to recognize on your bookshelf
• larger photos on crisp, matte-finished paper
• new typefaces that enhance overall clarity and readability
• icons in the table of contents that indicate items that appear both in print and online
• an NAEYC News section—information from the Association compiled on green pages in the middle of the journal

The Young Children web pages have also been updated to complement this new design. Look for sleek new headers composed of children’s photos, streamlined text and layouts, and content that is easily accessible on both computer screens and mobile devices.
