Margarita Marichal is an Associate Professor at the Interamerican University School of Education, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She holds a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education from Walden University, a Juris Doctor from the Interamerican University Law School, and an M.Ed. from the University of Houston, Texas. Her research interests are children's ethnic identity development, gender identity, retention of primitive reflexes, and play. She is also a member of the Puerto Rico Association for the Education of Young Children (PRAEYC).
