R. Taylor is the Dean of Business Programs, Computer Information Systems, Psychology, and Social Sciences at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon. She holds a Doctorate in Education from Portland State University and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University, St. Paul.

Her career spans roles as an Early Childhood Education faculty member, laboratory school teacher, classroom teacher, and home visitor, along with leadership in academic program development and strategic initiatives. Taylor has extensive experience securing grants and managing grants to support students and families, and serves on various local, state, and national boards to advance education and community services.

Outside of work, she can be found exploring Oregon’s waterways and trails with her family and Labrador retriever.
