Effective Curriculum: Designing and Implementing Meaningful Learning for Every Child (Summer 2025)

You are here
What does it take to create and implement a curriculum that fosters the learning and development of all children?
Too little is known about designing and delivering curricula that meet the interests, needs, and strengths of all learners. This issue of Young Children includes examples of curricula that are responsive to culturally and linguistically diverse learners as well as children with disabilities. Articles illustrate that effective curricula can lead to learning and development within and across content areas, address learning goals through experiences inside and outdoors, as well as integrate children’s interests and assets.
