Getting Started as a Large System User (LSU)

You are here
NAEYC defines large system users (LSUs) as organizations with 5 or more early learning programs working towards or maintaining accreditation. Once an organization is set up as an LSU, identified individuals are provided with access to the LSU Hub, an online portal that provides the ability to access, manage and report on affiliated early learning programs and their accreditation status.
LSU Benefits
- Ability to access to LSU Hub, providing centralized access and oversight/reporting of all affiliated programs
- Ability to have direct bill pay options with NAEYC
- Ability to participate in the system-wide evidence process
- Ability to access reports for affiliated programs
- Access to NAEYC support team
How to Get Started as an LSU
To start the process to become a large system user (LSU), please complete the LSU Request Form. Once this form has been submitted, the LSU access will be set up and more information about the LSU Hub will be provided to the identified contacts.
Billing Options
LSUs can choose to utilize a monthly billing option that allows affiliated early learning programs to charge any fees that are due to the LSU account. The LSU will receive a monthly summarized invoice and the option to pay by credit card, check or creation of credit on file with NAEYC. When this option is selected the LSU is responsible for all fees charged by affiliated programs.
System-Wide Evidence Process
System-wide evidence review is intended to reduce preparation time for NAEYC accreditation among programs that are part of a multi-program system with shared policies and procedures. NAEYC has identified assessment items for which system-level evidence is acceptable; if the system does address those items on a system-wide basis, they submit the evidence to NAEYC and receive ratings for those items that are applied to all evaluations of programs in their system. Individual programs in participating systems are responsible for maintaining program-specific evidence to be made available to NAEYC assessors. Participating LSUs must renew their system-wide application annually.
System-Wide Benefits
- Submit evidence at the organization level for 22 of 40 Recognition items and 54 of 200 Accreditation items (system-wide eligible items)
- Streamline the local program application experience by removing the system-wide evidence items from their application journey
- Receive annual system-wide evidence reports
For a list of assessment items that are eligible for system-wide submission, see Assessment Items - Appendix C - System-Wide Evidence Eligible Items
To get started with the system-wide process, review and complete this form. Once the form is received an invoice will be provided. Once the invoice is paid, information will be sent to the identified contacts to get started with the evidence submission process.
