2018 Transition: Accreditation Process and Standards
You are here
Are you prepared for the 2018 Transition?
We've made significant enhancements to the accreditation process and standards. In January 2018, revisions to the NAEYC Early Learning Program Accreditation Standards and Assessment Items were approved by the Council on the Accreditation of Early Learning Programs. This means your program can take advantage of these significant enhancements during your assessment journey! Watch the video below for an introduction to this exciting transition.
If your program started the accreditation process before March 15 2018, please email Program Support at email@example.com to request a copy of the Established or Streamlined Opt-in Materials which are valid for your site visit. To avoid confusion, these older materials are no longer available online.
If your program started the process after March 15 or have a candidacy or renewal due date of May 31 2018, your program will be assessed using the new January 2018 NAEYC Early Learning Program Accreditation Standards and Assessment Items. The candidacy and renewal materials required for this assessment are available in your program record. Using the 2018 materials helps ensure that your program and the NAEYC assessor visiting your program are using the same version of the accreditation standards.
